Save the Date: Launch of the ‘ACfA Label Framework’, 22nd July 2019, Ebène, Mauritius
Date: 22 July 2019
The African Crowdfunding Association (ACfA) is pleased to announce the launch of the ACfA Label Framework, a pan-African framework of standards for securities-based crowdfunding platforms. The launch will take place during “The African Crowdfunding Platform” event hosted by Mauritius African Fintech Hub (MAFH) and ACfA. The venue of the event is the Hennessy Park Hotel in Ebène, Mauritius.
The ACfA Label Framework has been conceived by market practitioners to address the “missing middle” segment for SMEs financing needs; the aim of this framework is to unlock tech-enabled platforms that reduce the financial and non-financial barriers to investment in SMEs.
ACfA further invites regulatory authorities on the continent that would like to develop crowdfunding as a capital markets tool to recognise ACfA’s authority as a Self-Regulatory Organisation to deliver and enforce the ACfA Label. There will be training sessions on the framework specialised for regulators to expound on the importance of this framework for the crowdfunding ecosystem.
The agenda of the event will be posted in the coming days.
