The African Crowdfunding Association provides services destined to educate a broad range of market actors on crowdfunding. Its clients include Regulators, Fund Managers, Development Finance Institutions, Accelerators, Incubators and FinTechs. We provide services in both English and French.
Invest2Impact Africa
This innovative project saw 100 East African women entrepreneurs win business services and access to funding. ACfA’s team helped design the crowdfunding segment of the competition, “2X Crowd”, presented a Masterclass “Using Crowdfunding to raise funds for your business” to winners in Kigali and provides further trainings through the online 2XConnect platform. This was a 2XChallenge project, a multi-development agency commitment to reducing gender inequality.

ACfA presented a talk on “The State of Crowdfunding in Africa” in partnership with the AfDB’s Resource Mobilisation and Partnerships Department
Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance
ACfA trained regulatory staff from East African regulatory authorities on crowdfunding as part of the CCAF Global Regulatory Innovation Program
Capital Markets Authority – Kenya
ACfA provided trainings on crowdfunding to CMA Kenya staff, presented at the launch of the CMA Kenya Sandbox and sits on the Financial Market Law Review Panel of the authority.
World Bank / Joint Capital Markets Program “J-CAP”
ACfA authored a “box” in a report on African crowdfunding in the WAEMU region for the J-CAP team, and co-organised and moderated the panel on crowdfunding at the inaugural J-CAP summit in Abidjan.
